Desiree Ong is a Visual Development Artist
based in Portland, Oregon
Desiree Ong is a Singaporean who grew up on American, British, and Southeast Asian television and music. Desiree moved to San Francisco in 2009 and studied at the Academy of Art University for Animation VFX and Illustration and is lucky to now call Portland, Oregon home.
In the last ten years, she's worked for Ponoko, Fon Co, Laika, Shadow Machine and House Special. Her most notable work was for the award winning film Pinocchio by Del Toro as their Graphic Designer. She's also produced work for Laika on Kubo and the Two Strings and Missing Link, "A Golden Globe Award win for Best Animated feature film."
She grew up around water, her mission moving forward is to help elevate climate change narratives using her creative experiences merged with her 21years experience of being a Dive Master, Reef Check Citizen Scientist and professional friend of water.
